A friends love

I cast a stone in the water,
and watch soft ripples flow to a crest
As I ponder the future,
is this all but a test?

But in a flash of a moment,
she whispers to me,
Be still with your worries,
Our love still shall be.

I then turn to the wind,
and her name I do hear,
There's warmness and peace,
and the lifting of fear.

Then I look to the sky,
where her brilliance shines,
And with destiny's hand,
I feel her heart with mine.

This is amazing. You always touch me with your words. I really don't know what else to say, but this is one of my favorite poems I've read of yours. Loss is hard, regardless of the circumstances. I lost a dear friend to suicide. Another was hit by a semi when he was working construction. Yet another slipped into a diabetic coma & died at the young age of 36yrs. Lost two uncles last summer to lung cancer.
I think we all have ppl we've lost and wish could come back, even if just for a minute.
    Much Love to you Bob.

I love your simple eloquence (is that how you spell it) in this poem. It is enjoyable and comforting. It made me wonder if the ripples of true love continue on to the edges of the universe. Great write.
