Toes curled
making ripples in the water
watching as they multiply
drifting...
making me wonder
where do they go?
Head leaned back,
sun shines on my face
my thoughts are light
drifting...
with the ripples they go.
The water like my thoughts
swirl lazily in echoes of circles,
calm and serene,
at times rushing over the stones
worn smooth with trial,
emptying in larger pools
to become quiet and rippling
once again.
Softly I breathe..
thank you,
thank you for teaching me
how life really is,
swirling lazily,
or rushing over stones
life is always flowing,
and always filling
the larger pools of peace.
Toes curled,
making ripples in the water
I watch as they multiply,
drifting...
I hear myself whisper
take me with you.

Had to restrain myself on this one, because the red editing pen was ready to go to work on the punctuation and grammar. This also seems familiar, but brought to mind the song in Pocahontas 'Just around the riverbend', which I remember singing to my eldest daughter what seems like a lifetime ago.
As you can see, I am a recovering 'editor'
