Amazing strategies are required to play chess, Wednesdays, or otherwise... but I see you're beyond mastering the basics. ~ KL

    P. S. It is Gold, too!

You know, at first I would have thought this to be about me, but then I realized that I would never play chess on Wednesdays. Now, if the title had been more on the lines of "He likes to play chess on Thursdays and fuck every other day of the week" or something like that, then there would have been almost mostly no doubt that it could possible have been about me.

    At least I think so...

Nicely done, it's been a challenging week and this provided me with that stimulus I needed to return that twisted, perverted and lecherous smile to my face.

Nicely put together - chess, the tight fit of squares, knight-to-night, moves, moving together, black to white. Liked the comparison: the game and the relationship. Your author notes are a fun added finish to this!
    Congratulations on the gold.

Love the allusion of the beginning, .. but you know? I'm not so sure it's circles and squares..

it seems more like spaces and forms.

I loathe gender typing.. I do, because some never go beyond what it implies ..for women especially, but men too ..

and oddly your circles and squares became round pegs in square holes and would you believe it? lol made me think of gender roles..

I'm odd....I know.. lol, and I have no control over where my mind winds up..

i do know what you're saying, although i couldn't quite figure out to do square with square? ya know.. maybe i'll figure it out

but i do love how your mind works.. it always amazes me, how you quickly find where i was going and how to reach the end too

      odd??? you?? never ... lmao

for me -- square on square.. would imply an equality but not necessarily a balanced one because the equality would only be in the 'square' - the size of it wouldn't matter..

also it would erect a wall in my mind, rather than a union, whereas the circle square .. hmmm could be equal in size but never in 'form' .. I think it depends on what you're after..

        lol.. and thank you..

That little bit of punctuation seems odd in there but that's about all that feels strange. The most beautiful thing between any two people is the feeling of arms wrapped tightly, bodies clenched underneath the moonlight. Possibly in the morning or just before bed. These little moments are what creates poetry in the world. Your poem is strong because it is human. And tender. And you.
