In darkness things do go bump in the night
Hearts jump to throat at the slightest sound
Nerves get frazzled as eyes squeeze tight
Though darkness is just the absence of the light
In full light all the things we see
make us feel safe and warm
But in full light things do go wrong
Great pain and suffering can and will be felt
So which is worse to fear that which we do not see
or to see that which we really fear the most
Author notes
"Those who fear the darkness have no idea what the light can do"
By changing the style in the 2nd stanza I'm attempting to represent the difference between night and day.

Interesting take on my quote. I couldn't work out whether it was free verse or whether you started with rhyme and got lost in thought half way through. Either way I enjoyed your take on the prompt.
Thankyou for your entry and good luck.
