As sun breaks day
over the forest covered mountain top.
Loons bellow mating calls
back and forth across Lake Eden.
A fishing line dangles over row boat's bow,
effortless attempts to retrieve Rainbow Trout.
Resonating ripples shatter mountainside reflections
upon pristine crystalline waters.
Azure sky occasionally dotted
by incoming Canada Geese and Mallards.
Much pleasure found in sighting the Bald Eagle
soaring in circles high above Lake Eden.
The procession of events
carried time through the morning
without interference;
as nature should be.
