The docs all say I'm twisted in my own way
They show me pictures and ask what I do see
I sit and stare afraid to tell them what it is to me
But I look closer and to me it looks as if
It's a girl with arms stretched out
So tired of life she cut off her own dang head
It's hanging there like a blob can't you see
No they say you better come with me
They ask how I see art but then say I'm insane
But I can't help what I feel in my own damn heart

SO OPEN AND HONEST!!!!
Each one of us has their own way of seeing life and the world around us. Who is out there to say that another is insane, in some cases one may be but in their own little world they feel completely comfortable.

nice work with great imagery but not exactly metaphor. It was just how you saw the picture and it didnt mean anything deeper than your crazy and that was plain and obvious. good work though

This is awesome. I also concur with what Patty wrote. You are very artistic. One thing I always have a problem with is when someone asks how YOU/or me intrepret a painting or a writing or some other art. Don't ask me for MY take on it if you are going to tell me what SHOULD be. That is why they call it art, because it relates to each individual in their way not anothers! Good luck!

Oh this painting
I dont know why dr's do this and believe me I see just as you do here and I dont think there is anything wrong with the way I think . I would say to this painting and the dr that showed it to you he was wanting you to say such a thing for it couldnt be anything else the way it is painted . You are not insane by a long shot .You just think deeper than most and needs to give it direction . As a poet we see things feel things and often put it in our work for others to feel and see. We express ourselves in such a way that often others dont understand . I may write a poem of love one minute and one of how the evil side thinks but that doesnt make my mind sick its just overly active and I dont dwell on any oe the different
activities of my mind .I just know through my poetry I have a place to release the feelings and in doing so gives them meaning and helps me understand their direction. At school they had ones that came in with pictures and had the class say what it was they saw .We all had our own theory but there were a few that saw the same thing. If there were more than just you being tested you would see this as well . I told my sister once all writers have the ability to be the person or thing they write about thats how they put such feeling into their work. Only we know who we are and that person shines above all the characters we play here upon Allpoetry the real me is in the comments and the replies the one who gatthers friends and family near to help others through their times of life

I like it. I think it is sometimes important to note that all art has different meanings to different people. I know that I have written several poems where I had something definite in mind while the comments that I have gotten back seemed astounding. You have your unique vision on things. Thank you for sharing.

thats exactly my point.. hehe... art is how you see it.. in your heart not everyones heart is the same for if it was it would be sooooo boring...... and art & poetry wouldnt be beautiful.... thanks for your comments
