feel the peel of the skin
off the bones to bare my heart
it's open free hanging there
for all to see each and every part
thumping thudding living wet
it throbs against the skin pulled back
baring all my thoughts and feelings
and how my love and hate all stack
i bared it all just for you
i set it out there free to see
and smiled slightly in the dark
even as you came up close and stabbed me
ill kneel here my heart pumping
gushing and trying so very hard
to keep a reason in my mind to live
while pulling from myself this broken shard
that you burried deep in my heart
with a smile ill watch u walk away
to wait until the time you decide
