what if my words had come true?
would you stand here in white with me
or would you be leaving on that boat, adieu
If my heart you'd been stealing
and my mistakes you promised to undo
captured any strings in your symphony
then I would have fallen in love with you.
When you come back unsteady and reeling
from a life that has become taboo
will you see the truth in my agony?
and will you finally let love break through?
If you hear me speaking
calling louder and louder for you,
please come back and decree
that you have finally said 'I do'
