You all look at us
And wonder how
So many can seek so little
But we all had our reasons to be there
We thought we had something to learn
So many hours spent
Staring into space
While bathing in this guilt
Filling out our spiritual prescriptions
I'll see you again next Sunday
We sit in the solitary room
Confessing to the shadows
Sage wisdom from the wall
We hear the diagnosis
And the cure
If I bath in this fount
Will I be saved?
If pretend to be naive
Can I still cling
To these delusions you give?
I had my reasons to be there
I had my mind made up for me
But after seeing where
This detox will lead
I learned to hate this label
