why is it so hard
just to get by?

a moment of peace?
living with the hope
of Death's release

like Life is not
worth the time
like we're just here
until it all unwinds

where are the hopes,
the dream of youth?
that once exsisted
hiding the truth

where are the caring,
loving hands?
the people who promised,
said they'd understand

and for a moment
i thought all was well
the pain erased,
the evil fell

but no,
we can't have a break
as we find we're...
all that isn't fake

and as i grab you
i feel i hold,
the only thing left,
that's not ice cold
