The Writer's Soul

Missing image

       it's not his poetry
       or his countenance
       that makes me breathe deep

       it's his way with people
       his kindness

       following him, reading him
       I sense something honest
       something hungry,
as if he hasn’t eaten in ages

I want to feed him love
       and purple grapes

       something to satisfy

    very deep and profound

I see a lot more in this than has been said in words. It crosses the boundaries of the obvious and goes within. Just the kind of work I love. excellent. I would have made this a Gold however.

After all, it is a person's character, what a person IS, and not so much his/her countenance or what he/she says that counts! Good job.

You give new meaning to the thought that there is a boundary to men’s passions when they act from feelings: but none when they are under the influence of imagination. The words this image has inspired from you are simply divine 1der. Best of luck to ya in the contest!

In a world that is filled with so much strife and confusion, it is such a pleasure to come here and just simply get lost in poetry of this caliber. Keep them coming! Good luck in your contest.
