'Tis Not The Touching Alone

'Tis not in the touching as I near to you
But just the shivering anticipation rippling

At the goosebumps across your neck
To smell the beaded sweat that glistens
Lighting prisms against the golden tincture
Of your supple flesh and to hear the gentle
Quickening of your breaths as your desire
Makes you arch back towards me making contact
Sealing our fate with a yearning committment
Where turning back is done and past, onwards
Into the future all our hearts and minds can see

To draw back the silken curtains, the sable tresses
Of your hair so to veiw, to scent, to wonder
At the soft curve of your nape, there to kiss
My lips to linger and hold this one moment in space
Just you and me, this time forever lost in
Each other's tender loving embrace

  • So Adrian, something (or someone) sending you excellent inspiration? I haven't seen one of these, this well written, for quite some time. Beautifully done, soft and tender but raw with sensuality.

Thank you for entering and good luck.

    • Thank you Storm, I'm glad you thought I did a good job with it. Thanks for the HM, unfortunately just memories that just seems the way to go at the moment.

  • All the right words fell together to make this a wonderfully sensual offering for Storm's contest. Your background is the final touch to a beautiful poem.
