Dreaming Of A Heartbreak

night time glories
pale moon crescent
a spot light for the dark

off in the distance
a wolf howls
out its sorrowful melody

dedicated to me
I understand his words
the meaning hidden deep

lyrics carefully constructed
decipher them letter by letter
take me home he cries

his story spoken
similar to mine
no home to return to

left alone
with all the time
wind ruffles his silver fur

swiftly he trots on off
his song is done
I must retire

nightmares inhabit my dreams
the wolfs song
repeating over in my mind

wandering through a dense forest
he's tight on my heels
then darkness everywhere

he's there
not the wolf
but a man

one whose face
is far to familiar
an overdose for my heart

his twisted intentions
his sadistic heart
gripping onto those who aren't careful

lured me into
under his spell
there's no breaking free

wolf sing me your song
so true, so beautiful
the only thing that matches me

pain stabs deep within
mind racing
slow me down

keep beating
a deathly coma
has been encompassed over my heart

This has to be based off of the Twilight series- if it's not, then it very well could be.

I adored this- it took my mind to this place and into the mind of the speaker. I grasped onto every word.

Good job! Thanks for the entertaining read

The name of the poem gave me some inspiration but sorry that's not enough to be a finalist.

This is a very dark poem and thats okay. I do not have anything against dark poems, if they are well penned and not sounding pitiful. This poem is neither pitiful or not well penned. Great work. Remember to capitilize your I's
