Once upon a dreamless night
I sat in dark in endless fright
I thought about your face and smile
Which I could see within a mile
A story told you how I feel
The tear-stained letter; never sealed

I lie in bed awake at night
I think about the goal in sight
So many dreams I left to dream
But never read them in-between
I thought of you so many times
I wrote your name on all the lines
I wished upon a shooting star
Thinking of my endless war
When I close my eyes to sleep
Your face in mind just makes me weep
I wish you knew how much it hurt
When you whispered "Only HER"
I only wish that you weren't blind
That you could read between the lines
I love you fool, forever more
But you can't see my scars of war
I'll let you live your happy life
With HER as maybe even wife
But sometimes even when I'm cold
I seem to find some little hope
But then again, it never lasts
'Cause then I find what's in the past
I guess you could even say
I'm addicted to you in every way
But I will let you live in peace
Even if I am the least

this was a very sad story. Its written so its easy to relate to, which is good.
I felt at times the rhyming kinda fell a little, and it could be a little forced in places, but the story and emotion behind the poem far outweigh those issues.
