A woman
and her feelings
are sometimes fragile,
at times on the edge.

And then
there are times
she is still,

of how she feels
at all.

It is in those moments
she could go
either way.

It is in those moments
she is at her

not sure if she
shall break in
the silence,

or be set free.

    This seems familiar. I don't think this uncertainty is the exclusive preserve of the fairer sex. I have spent most of my (too many) years uncertain about how I feel, or worse juggling with wildly contradictory feelings. The paradox is just as you describe it - that uncertainty at once frees one to life's incredibly diverse opportunities but at the same time constrains one to never decide which of life's myriad paths to choose to walk (or in choosing, to choose unwisely, as I have time and time again)
