As she lies
Upon the floor
She stares at him
Coming through the door
He had hit her
So very hard
He had always treated her
As a retard
As she lay there thinking
'What could he do next?'
He as drunk
So very perplexed
He acted as if he didn't know
What had happened a while ago
That's when she realized the pain
She would soon forego
That's when she asked herself
'Why did I mary this man?'
He such a monster
He might as well shove me in a tin can
Why does abuse happen
Why did it happen to this woman?
She should get some help
She should find herself a real man
