Thank you for explaining the form you used. I am always intrigued with how a villanelle works, with its repeated lines and rhythms--not an undertaking for the inexperienced poet. I've never tried to do one of these.

I can only imagine that this lovely poem was not written in a flash of speed on the keyboard. It's evident that a lot of time, love and thought went into this work. It's a beautiful form of poetry, one which I've never attempted but maybe should if a finished product like this could be the result. Superb! ~Von

There are many forms of poetry that I would not even attempt...this is one of them, I'm sure I'd get in such a tangle and meet myself coming back lol. You have done a splendid job here and at the same time, woven such beauty into each line and stanza. Very lovely read. Well done and good luck in the contest.
