Quote Inspired- “Yet who shall shut out Fate?” ~ Edwin Arnold
Connecting with Fate
By: Once Upon A Mind
Time and space;
people and places.
Stars and sky;
Clouds and mountains.
Connections between
two words in sync,
Connections between
two hearts in sync.
Dreams and visions;
head and pillow.
Life and Fate,
love and Hate.
You cannot wipe out
what you did not create.
Connections and fate.

Huh, that poem actually makes me think which is different because I normally don't need to. It's got a good flow which I love and the theme is perfect. Keep on writing, I want to see more of these from you.

This is a very unique take on the quote. The analogies and connections really made me think. I really like this a lot, it's very thought provoking and honest. Great job, and good luck

Well Penned. Good Luck.

Seems to me that ...
you've done a good job here. Good luck in the contest.

ok so now i need to know the poem you like best of your peers in this contest ... you can only pick one so please tell me the name of your gold choice and then put the name of your own poem and tell me you wrote that one, or i might get confused as to which is the vote. i will post the results as soon as i have recieved all the votes via private message. thank you ... oh and by the way since you have to read to vote leave a little something for the author about their poem. its a good way to promot comrodery between us all here and its a good way to learn and grow and it can make someones day too... i know i always like it even if someone says they hate it at least i know its getting read.
oh and nice pic on yours too...

first off you didnt fallow the rule about tagging the piece but since i am wanting to judge now i guess your forcing me to forgive you. any way this poem makes me feel as if i am on a swing. the comparisons are rocking me back and forth. perhaps fate is the bar or treebrangh that the swing is tied to. and of course if it were to brake we would be introuble. this takes the idea that fate is like gravity... it pulls us or pushes us as it should and as we often dont want it to. but like gravity we cant get far from it before we are snapped back to it. gravity brings us back even if we jump really hard. sometimes i think it would be more fun to fly. and perhaps that is what the person in this poem is trying to simialate when on the high ends of the swing were if you kick hard enough you may just beable to do that. i like the hopefullness of this poem. airy and nieve like a child in a playground and shouldnt we all be like this instead of tainted by the way we feel fate feels.... thank you for entering and good luck

Fate's fortune is fearless
to the faithful. I ride relentlessly, my horse, Destiny on the narrow road of Fate. Destination unknown, we fly together in unison to meet Death's dearly departed brother to embrace what we cannot change. Thanks for the read.

Yes it is true, while we are busily trying to destroy all creation [albeit even unwittingly...] It will take the hand of the creator and not mankind to combust the big blue marble... But we CAN do enough damage to pray the end comes sooner than later...???
