Where's the Heat?

I'm so cold.
Where's the heat?
The ice around my heart wants to melt.
Where's the heat that you call love?
I got so used to it, I don't think I can live without it.
I want to be on fire.
Instead my heart is freezing.
What happened to the heat?
Where did the fire go?
Was it just my imagination?
Tell me, where's the heat?
Where's the love that I so desire?

Please tell me what you think

  • I can feel the concern here. Love as with life, has it's ebbs and flows and I'm hopeful that is the situation in your case. But as I said, I can feel the worry and the desire to have love back the way it was.

    well,

it is NICE. the repetiveness in this particular peice makes it a little dull though. i like it, but you cou could have used a little more imagination. *not all repetiveness is bad. you just used it in the wrong way. i like your compostion, like the over all ideas, but i do not like it over all.

Nice work. I loved the lines
"The ice around my heart wants to melt.
Where's the heat that you call love?"
    Great use of metaphor.

Great write with questions dying to be answered. I can relate to this, because the flame I've called love had blown out and I think may others can relate to this as well and soon you'll find the heat called love to unfreeze your heart. Keep writing.
