I.
Narrow
Levees crumble,
Cannot hold the deluge
From rushing headlong onto land.
Such is the force of water drops; gossip
Gathering small embellishments
Of envy brought about
By fixed minds so
Narrow.
II.
Shallow
Depths fill quickly,
Tumbling in fierce, gray foam,
Topples even stalwart forests,
Sways the last bastion of trees:reason
Falters, gripped in the endless maw
Of malicious minds so
Shallow.
III.
After
The flood nothing
Remains upright or cleansed.
Debris clogs major arteries;
Damages too numerous to repair.
Scandal marks a letter A, leaves
Reputations ruined,
Soiled; whole never
After.

Intense!
And absolutely true! The malicious gossip, lies and pettiness that some people spread ruins lives, and in the long-run, their own. One thoughtless rumor; an evil seed planted - though it may seem to not be hurtful at first - spreads and grows to unbelievable reaches. Your metaphors are wonderful in your rictameter. Using water is a good metaphor; because although it can seem so innocent, it can be powerfully destructive beyond belief.
Once some things are destroyed, such as people, they can never recover. There is always hope though; and I believe in the resilience and healing ability of the human spirit.
Thank you for sharing. This was amazing. I hope to see more of your work. You are very talented. I have never tried doing a rictameter. I have however written some form poetry such as acrostics; and I find it quite satisfying.

Very deep and well written!
I love the thought that you put into
this. It's great to learn of other
poetic forms here and I am glad to
have read this one by you! Keep it up!
