Imprisoned Memories

Missing image

like a lover's rose,

imprisoned within forgotten pages

of a once read classic,

memories of former paramours

dwell in the graveyard of

wrecked romances

victims to suicide of

fractured dreams,

pressed between pages of

soothing reflections

    Excellent

The comparison of a Rose has deep meaning for everyone, especially in the one who received it and the one that gives it!
    Well done

Perhaps 'the third time's the charm' for me. Wrecked romances are not easy to forget but as you imply... life goes on. Your poetry speaks to me on a deeply personal level.

    Sincerely,

I like the whole sad but beautiful aura surrounding your work here. Your well chosen words have quite a drawing affect on the reader and leaves me feeling reluctant to leave the page. Superbly written poem! Best of luck to ya.

This is such an amazing poem. The sheer feeling of pain, misery yet beauty just seeps through the words that flow across the page here. Each line is so emotive and moving, it left me literally frozen in place. I really don't know what else to say… this is just absolutely amazing. You have a wonderful talent. Good luck in the contest.

The imagery so carefully written into the lines above is nothing short of amazing. I adore this piece for the emotional spillage it provides as well as the story it tells. You have a first class poem here all the way. Good luck in the contest.

Melancholy but! Laced with fond memories as well. Soothing is the way you can look back in retrospect. I loved the way this read! Class all the way!

This piece tells of emotional scars left from ill fated romance well. Sad,sad thing. And those strong high points do have a habit of reverberating in memories deeply embedded.
