What Is A Friend

Through my life I have learned so much,
and what it is for a friend to love.
I like every one that crosses my path,
yet when I choose a friend it forever lasts.

A friend will help you no matter what comes your way,
They will help you understand with love each day.
Always there when you are happy or sad,
And will help you find your way when things get bad.

A friend even on days when you push them away,
never really goes too far.
They cry when you cry cause that's the way friends are,
So trying to bring back the joy and mend your heart .
but as you being their friend as well in their life take part,

A friend will never try to get you to take drugs a slow death,
or want you to do anything illegal you bet.
For a true friend wants you to be his friend forever and a day,
and would never endanger you in this way .

Look about you and see your true friends of today,
See who they are and ask yourself are you taking part the right way.
Are you following those headed for sorrow and pain ,
or are you gonna hold fast to the friends where life is their plan.

Some people are in misery of troubles that runs so deep,
they cant see the future so they take drugs for that long sleep.
Only if you were their friends you would direct them this day,
to live and know they have you always and see the love in your face.

Young people have such a power with those they befriend,
they will listen to you until the very end.
Make sure what you say is for the good not the bad,
for this friend could be the beginning of a life you never had.,

Drugs are a waste of a life never lived ,
for it takes the young at will its purpose is to kill .
Friends are the beginning a love you give everlasting indeed,
To restore the meaning of life a gift from you to me .
