Spring Parade

In life’s parade now marches all,
Triumphant bugles in yellow call
As gladly does the chorus ring,
Death to winter! welcome spring.

Dancing in the new dawns light,
White daisies sway in pure delight,
Joined by the buttercups that tell
In joyful union 'all is well'

Author notes

I know that this is late for a spring poem, but it sorta worked out that way

I'm glad to read a spring poem now that the forecasters are telling us about the first flakes of snow! Unavoidably, this reminds me of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," and the coming of spring in that story, especially the flowers.

Thinking of Spring in the middle of Fall, when all the leaves have fallen off the trees makes me think about the cycle of life and how things will return again.. and again.. and again. You've brought back such wonderfully sweet memories of a season not-so-long-ago with your poem. Thank you. Keep writing
