Love is dying in battle for what you believe in
Knowing that you leave the ones you love grieving
Love is being hurt but still managing to smile
It's not about winning by stealth or by guile
Love is not always the smoothest of roads
It's often about how to bear life's loads
Love is cleaning up someone else's dirt
Or having to hide the deepest hurt
For the greater gain may be personal loss
As was shown by He who died on the cross

Love is a choice...we choose to love or not to love in every situation, and you have penned many of the most difficult situations. Well done, poet. Peace to you, Rhonda
