The battle they cannot see
Is happening inside of me
They think I'm free
But I really want to flee
I'm not okay
All my days turn gray
I want the feelings to go away
But they never seem to obey
I don't know what to say to Daddy
Or how to tell Mommy
It's a call for help, a plea
But there's something they don't see
They don't understand their daughter
And how she thinks of slaughter
Dreams of drowning in the water
I can't be their daughter
