Tick tock tick tock,
Hands travel around the clock.
Torturing seconds,
Watching time I can not block.
Sunrise and sunset,
Marking days that we’re apart;
Screaming frustration,
Separated from her, my breaking heart.
Miles distant,
Our love for each others strong;
Second thoughts,
Never, eternity wouldn’t be to long.
Worlds apart,
Or so it sometimes seems;
Hearts connected,
Together always in my dreams.
Not Impossible,
As long as we’re in God’s grace;
Our relationship,
Held together with love in his embrace.
Our Love,
That time itself can not block.
Tick tock tick tock,
Hands travel around the clock.
Hands travel around the clock.
Torturing seconds,
Watching time I can not block.
Sunrise and sunset,
Marking days that we’re apart;
Screaming frustration,
Separated from her, my breaking heart.
Miles distant,
Our love for each others strong;
Second thoughts,
Never, eternity wouldn’t be to long.
Worlds apart,
Or so it sometimes seems;
Hearts connected,
Together always in my dreams.
Not Impossible,
As long as we’re in God’s grace;
Our relationship,
Held together with love in his embrace.
Our Love,
That time itself can not block.
Tick tock tick tock,
Hands travel around the clock.

One of your poems was part of the motivation for this poem.

Long distance relationships can be very hard and need a great deal of time and love to make then work.
You have captured the feeling well...time is not always on their side.
All the best...Sue
