I ordered a comprehensive set
of cassette tapes recently,
the Bootleg Series, by Bob Dylan:
and overdosed on empathy.
I listened to these hoary classics,
written over thirty years --
saturated with three decades
of cigarettes ... and stale beer.
But it was certainly educational --
for while he bills and coos,
he can take an old folk song
and make it sing the blues.
One thing I discovered,
though someone else might doubt it --
the essential's not experience,
but your attitude about it.
Please tell me what you think, unless you are a total idiot. If so, keep it to yourself.

HOODWINKED !!!
Being a long time Dylan fan, I have pondered his lyrics, music and his rebel style. He did not have a great voice, didn't need to, his message carried his work. I agree with you, attitude is primary, the experience is just a perk from having the attitude. I don't see many poems about Bob Dylan so I appreciated reading yours, I believe I'll go put on a bootleg album of his...
You have been Hoodwinked by the Poetic Bandits because WE CARE!
