It could take a lifetime to fix Bush's mistakes,
but it will be pure relief to see him gone.
He's proved he's one of the world's worst flakes,
and thinks every human being his pawn.
The worst President in history will slink
through the doors of the White House in shame.
He's proved a brain doesn't mean you can think,
and he'll be the one to bear all of the blame.
Hundreds of thousands of people will die
before Bush's wars draw down to a close.
His party's the one any lobbyist can buy,
and he'll shuck everything but the emperor's clothes.
Goodby slimey thief. We can whistle and stare
like we're gliding at last from a long nightmare.

I agree with you in all but one respect ...
Bush was not elected in 2000. He stole that election just as he stole the one that followed, or, more precisely, the Supreme Court stole it for him. However you look at it, he was never elected President of the United States.

Ah, what a take on the prompt! This is strong, vocal, and unafraid to take a stand. It's frightening what he has done and more what will carry over. I had to laugh at "he'll shuck everything but the emperor's clothes" - very pointed. I like reading poetry that gets in there and stirs up the blood! Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest!

In as much as the issue of any party kissing lobbiest shoes. Both the dems and repugs share that guilt. I agree with the premise of "worst President in US history" being Bushs crowning feature. And as for anyone such as those who are so "living in an alternate universe" to STILL imagine anything good came of either Bush administrations tincture.Well, "none are so blind,as those who refuse to see".

I like. But you're right, my friend. He is indeed a monster. It's a shame we can't hang him. If the past 4 presidents are to blame, I wonder which Abe Lincoln will come along to be assassinated after addressing this bloody mess. Personally, I'm stuck on running mates and not asking congress to declare war. We tout about free press and the right to bear arms in courts (constitutional rights) but no one is paying attention the presidents breaking those rights. LOL Anyway, write on, bro. One.

I hope we have no more assassinations. I really hate it when people are ugly for no good reason. Some black people in Harlem got really nasty with Hillary yesterday because she was there accepting an endorsement from a black minister. It doesn't look good. They are trying to split the country down racial lines and give the election to McSlug. They need to grow up.

Oh lets think about this for a bit
I am against whats happening right now but think about what clinton handed down to him .The ball was already in the thrown motion before Bush took the lead .We tend to blame a new president yet its what is pass on you see. The sloppy job our leaders have shown goes far down the line and the towers would have never happened if our security had done their jobs right .Well I feel for the last four presidents they are blamed for what they inherit fromn congress and like an excape goat all presidents before them know exactly what is to become their fate . Besides think about it as lond as the rich are the only ones to run for president our country will never change for the blue callor workers and the lower class people for they dont fel the need for fairness amongst all.
