The world we almost destroyed,
Preserved by the waves of tradition
Rolling through the sea of our ignorance.
The sea filled with the tears of bygone ages
That grieve for us - lost.
The new world built on shallow hope,
now wretched.
Our foundations were too shallow.
We knew better than all the wisdom of the centuries!
But our folly - now all too clear - we humbly return to our Atlantis.

Hey, this is really interesting, and you have took the prompt in a completely different direction. I really like, "Preserved by the waves of tradition", i think it's a pretty effective metaphor. Great work!

Wow this was a brilliant take on the prompt, and so very original in your thoughts. I like how you perceived society from this photo, with ignorance and tradition personified. I loved this write! So beautiful with "Rolling through the sea of our ignorance"
Thanks for entering & best of luck
