In this messed up world I live in
I am burdened with life's complications.
I can not dream to live in a better world,
and am forced to play in this demented one.
Above land where I can breath rusty air
and see what man has done to Earth here,
but below the sea and in tranquility
is a place where I long to be.
'O this messed up world of mine
where time and sense are no longer intertwined...

Wow, original take on the prompt, and you have expressed it so beautifully with your words. I like the contrasts of what man has done to Earth above and what lies beneath.. the sea of tranquility.
