Strength of My Heart

These days I wake because you wake,
I can walk because I know you're near.
My mind holds you close to my heart,
Derives my strength in life from there.

You are what puts a smile on my face,
No matter how grim things get.
Though you may not see it glowing,
My heart knows not to fret.

For you I'd sacrifice my life,
Give up my final breath.
For me you are the world and universe,
Without you I feel emotionally devoid.

I wish for my steps to only bring us closer,
My actions to further deepen our bonds.
For you to want to stay together,
In each others arms where it is we belong.

If only words could do me justice,
Give life to the love I carry.
Sadly, words can only do so much,
Until the "I Do" when we marry.

Someday, I shall share those words with you,
The one, the only, who's made my love so true.
