Like cattle,
even the wolves are jealous,
at their creativity,
in guiding us with ease.
Did you ever wonder,
why the kings and queens,
never pay,
with their blood and pain.
Though as the cliff draws ever near,
we're forced into despair,
until among the cattle,
do we find a righteous Shepard to steer.

Well first of all, you pointed out two truths about war.
1) Often, it stems from a rivalry... imperialism, nationalism, militarism etc...
"Like cattle,
even the wolves are jealous" -I wouldn't call it jealous but thats a lesser way of putting the point. ha.
2)Leaders usually remain unharmed in the battle
such kings and queens dispensed their people usually without care...
Shepard? holy war? crusades?
-Thank you for your entry, Angi Terese
