Through the midst an eerie sound
streams of carcasses on the ground.
Howling winds or wolves, who knows,
running so fast, the adrenaline flows.
Creepy night, no where to hide,
uncomfortable feeling is growing inside.
Clouds exploded, the moon split open wide,
blood drizzled to earth, coating the outside.
Engulfed by the mist, darkness swallowed you whole,
mesmerized by sparkling stars, evil soothed the soul.
Heavy rustling of the grass and trees,
fear has settled; now a prisoner of the evening breeze.
I closed my eyes, wishing away,
that I would find solace, but there’s no leeway
Squinting harder, there is not a trace,
of finding the pathway, out of this horrid place!

Wonderfully written and presented sweetheart. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is too dim to see. It is then that we blindly trust our God that things will be alright. Faith + Trust = Hope. Love you Tory...Scott
