I long to hold you in my arms and dance beneath the moon
To spin you round the garden to a soft romantic tune
I want to cook your dinner then to sit and eat with you
To see you taste the pleasures that are known to far too few
To pour for you a glass of wine and watch it kiss your lips
And toast you in its magic while I kiss your finger tips
To drown within your warm embrace and love you tenderly
And keep you in that special place reserved for you and me
I yearn to hear you breathing as you sleep beside my head
To lie awake and gaze at you relaxing in my bed
Though I have never met you in your land across the sea
It is only when I'm with you that my spirit can be free

Now then, what penance can I make you do for writing a moon-toon poem?
I know. I'll IM each of your transatlantic, female friends, tell each one that the poem was written specially for her, and invite them all to come and comment.
Tender poem.

What a interesting twist at the end "Though I have never met you in your land across the (sea)" (you do have a typo: see in your poem above (LOL) That's one of the things I like about AP, I get corrected. Anyway, like the way you think the person is there already, then you find they are not. Good Job! ¦:¬{

Yes indeed,
I am getting on my ship to ride the seas
set the sails, and let the wind guide me.
Then at the end, I will rest in your special place
the one you had created, so we could meet face to face.
I know without any doubt, I would be trouble free,
for there would be other activities, captivating me.
So here I come, my ship is on the sea,
please wait at the lighthouse, and lead me to your fantasy.
well penned and of course i love it
Love you
