Life comes at you fast,
it kicks you in the ass
and puts you on the ground
without warning.
You're planted in the dirt,
nothing seems worth it
and you feel lost;
you feel empty.
You have nothing,
yet you cannot quit.
You cannot give up
and fall down for good.
Stand up,
brush your shoulders off
and keep moving;
this is the meaning of life.

hun, thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for this piece. lately everything in my life went rancid. the guy i love is my sister's boyfriend. my best friend fell in love with me. two years ago my first true love died and then my grandpa died on sunday and brought back all those memories. i only found out that my love died after they pulled the plug. thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!

I agree about the "meaning of life", but survival is certainly a powerful impetus to get up and get going. I must say that I'm impressed with your ability to punctuate correctly. Most kids on here don't even know what a semi-colon is.
