Yes, it's good! I would change the last line to just refer to the fact that the grass is long. That would leave the reader to work out that the grass needs cutting, rather than revealing what you are getting at. Nice work.

a good poem which makes me think of the fresh smell of cut grass, one of the nice smells to hit the senses i think.
