That I would die for love has been a dream
for death is the true expression of devotion.
My blood pulsing hot as I hold you in my arms
protecting you from harm with my own body.
There is no sacrifice as great than that of oneself
and yet it is an expression of love as pure
as a clear mountain stream fed from a glacier
high in the fissure and draws of a white mountain.
Come and lay next to me that I may die a thousand times
fighting for the honor of touching your heart in ways
that are as soft as flower blossoms spreading in meadows
and is as powerful as all the stars in the night sky.
