Upon the cross
A snake is missing!
Kiss the base
And hear the hiss.
The serpent, coiled,
Its two-tongued whisper
Shocks-excites,
Like whips, sting-licks.
So fly away
All pure and light
And leave your darkened sister here
To fall
As early eve does fall
And night does follow
Tainting all.

Now this was a very interesting take on the picture!! Quite unique...I actually like that you really took this outside the proverbial box and delivered a piece worthy of the title "NOT cliche" And night does fall tainting all.....Love that! Thank you so much for entering my contest
