you sighed beneath heaven's smile
a summer night's breeze
washing your thoughts away
every dream I dreamed of you
soaked my heart with adoration
I have never enjoyed such pain before
hardly able to breathe
stricken by your cut of beauty
I bled emotion freely
weeping mortal thoughts of love
afraid to move, that you might disappear
but when you turned to me
filling your eyes with mine
the breath of life was mine again
and I shared it with you, desperately
