A recluse in waiting
expectantly optimistic
I dream of a time
where no one needs me.
I'll set off to seek
sweet solitary succor
assessing synchronistic cycles
and their effects on the journey.
I practice this leaving
on a daily basis
hoping to capture a piece of vision
on a memory card.
Trudging through sand
in an endless self healing
looking for inspiration
in a currently uninspired life.

Author notes
Thank you again for the invite, this was probably the most difficult prompt I have ever tried to write for, and I say tried, which implies that I didn't succeed, now doesn't it?

"Trudging through sand

that is the way of the hoodoowisewoman, methinks. You can not stay too unispired for long when you capture cats on film like you do on your journeys into the sands...

Yes, for now it is the only way and one that comforts...hopefully I'm storing fodder for poems somewhere along the way, thanks for the great comment!

A very descriptive answer to the prompt, would that we all knew ourselves so well.

Success in writing of ones self requires a lifetime.

You wrote well.

This is incredible, I mean that. Such a very in depth piece of inner reflection and purpose of thought. Such an intense prompt to ponder indeed. Excellent imagery throughout. Best wishes in the contest!

The prompt may have seemed difficult but you made it look easy. You took it and ran with it. Well done!
