I remember as a girl standing in the sea of tranquility
Young, healthy, the sun dancing in the waves
My skin absorbing its warmth
No sign of a disability
Gods wonderful creation was designed so perfect
His creatures on earth, without a flaw
Man and woman united as one
Beautiful, ageless, tall and erect
How cruel was man to destroy a perfect world
Ill health pervades us
Blind, deaf, sickness, dying
Limbs stiff, foetuses unfurled
I'm hanging in dear God to that hope in you
Wherein the bible tells us of that promise
That death will be no more, all imperfections gone
Revelation's words so true
I thank you heavenly father, for the gift of love
Although, my old bones ache, my heart not strong
I can still feel wonderful emotions for my fellowman
This being given by you, with love from above

Yes, His love is within us always. It is intended to be a perfect world, and it will be restored one day. You are right to hold onto that promise. That is so beautiful. I just love your poem. It really stirred my emotions. What a sweet thing faith is; sometimes it is all we have to hang onto. Blessings, Karen
