Waters of Wonder

Coyness carries her demeanor

down shielded pathways of desire

Secure in passion's promise she

covers sensual skin perfumed by

love's ardor

A farewell only briefly given as

her lover sails on waters of wonder,

only to return upon wanton seas

The reader is left breathless for more. The points fits the target mood. Clear, defined and moving. The picture and poem compliment each other, but, stand on their own. Silver trophy well deserved.

AHHH your vocabulary is perfection--you utilize unique words and phrases...e.g. 'coyness', 'shielded pathways of desire' (what a classy way of saying 'lust' =P), 'ardor' 'wanton'

Loved the first stanza best out of the three, but the whole thing was uber good (duh!)

"yet to return upon wanton seas"
I think 'yet' should be 'only'...I think it sounds better, but that may just be me.

I absolutely agree!! I was struggling with the 'yet' thinking it wasn't right.. thank you so much for the suggestion, I will use that!

    Wanton seas -

Oh passion's promise is one of those phrases I have stopped myself from using before. It's a great phrase. But it's also someone's user name on this site. lol
They might think it's about them or something.

*rambles on about something else or another*

Best of luck in the contest.
