Toddler Marathon

Missing image

The clock struck 1 today
as I ran around the room
My three year old is off the walls
her nap can't come too soon

Running as she giggles
as she climbs up on the chair
As I try to reach for her
I'm met with an evil stare

One jump and she bounces
as her feet hit the floor
Round two coming up
I can't take much more

I finally catch her
and pull her into my arms
As she smiles so sweetly
and woos me with her charms

It is now 1:15 it's quiet
Jasmine is eating her Mac and Cheese
She's sitting in her highchair
while I get ready for round three

Author notes

Picture above is of my daughter Jasmine she is three years old and a very active little girl. 1 o'clock is her lunchtime each day and it is a marathon trying to catch her and settle her down long enough to eat. I hope this fits your contest I had fun writing it. If you're ever around at 1 I could use some help lol

That made me remember those days of kids that seem like they are made of quick silver. Double that up and you have what I had to deal with. Only 14 months between my two. Don't know quite how I survived but you do. Before you know it she will be rushing out the door on a drift of perfume (probably yours) going on dates. Time goes so quickly and they keep having birthdays. How you will smile when you read back at this, it's lovely.

  • lol Aunt Theresa Jasmine sure keeps you busy she is growin so fast ... if im eva around near you at 1 i will pop in and help lol..loves ya xxx cheeky xxx
