Sea Waltz (7th grade poem)

miles of earth covered with tiny grains of sand
salty waters splashing
whipping boulders
beating the sand
driftwood rocking in the sand
seagull cry at the moon
flapping
on their klutzy wings
tropical fish of the rainbow
the skittles of sharks
ripple the water
dolphins romp in the sea foam
watched over by the stars
a million twinkling dazzling faces
sea grass whistles in the breeze
so peaceful and quiet
seagulls and the waves
sing the midnight tune
the reeds hum along with the moon
fish dance in the sea foam along with the playing dolphins
the shark gave them the cold shoulder
for the celebration of the moon
party is over
fish hide out in the gaps of the coral reef
stingrays make their home on the ocean floor
couples walk along the beach
a romantic evening
footsteps in the sand symbolize a waltz
they were dancing underneath the moonlight
a paradise in a snow globe
so beautiful
resembles a peaceful Atlantis
shy
quiet
under glimmering glitzy stars
trapped in a crystal ball
never to be free
just placed upon the television stand.
