Earth conspired to breathe into her petals the aura of life
Allowing the dawn to weep fiery tears
Which colored the rose like a lover's blush;
She opened her eyes,
Exulting her new life and smiling in praise towards the heavens,
Which had allotted her the minutes of a Moon
Yet the fleeting days passed as Night's embrace encircled the flaming bud
And as the season's borrowed time came to an end,
Earth turned her hands to more important children
And the rose, left desolate in life, bowed her head and wept
The crimson fire leaving her veins
No longer vitalized by the breathing gifts of nature
Her forsaken beauty wilted with the wind
Allowing the dawn to weep fiery tears
Which colored the rose like a lover's blush;

Woah this is actually seriously good
I usually really struggle to get on board with poems that dont ryhme ( i guess im a bit of a philistine) but this was simply brilliant
"Earth turned her hands to more important children
And the rose, left desolate in life, bowed her head and wept"
The imagery, the metaphors, everything about this was excellent. 5 Stars

Beautiful Perspective
I personally am entranced by roses. I have several rose bushes in my garden & yearly (somehow!) manage to coax a few perfect buds.
I love the line "Earth turned her hands to more important children". I'd be curious to know who wrote which parts because the poem is seamless. A difficult task to complete & you achieved it together here!
Breathtaking!
