"Snafu."...a fairy poem.

An unexpected.....”snafu”…
Who knew!
The garden fairy of frogs, lizards, and innocent snakes,
arrived at our meeting for spring time planting party.

Looking rather.......sour faced and blue.

Apparently the sprawl of urbanite’s,
who stand erect…...(you)
has "not" been so eager to embrace,
her sweet babydoll faces.

Pushing out her children,
onto concrete streets of unsafe.
Weeping for the snuggling warm in our tasty yards.
Sadly stomping upon their living spaces, unknowingly.

I’ve never seen a tree frog bawl and weep.
I assure you, it is a tearful sight to view.
The snakes were so skinny,
you could almost see through,

what should be fat little bellys.

Negotiating was tough.
I actually wished,

I was a Wise Old Owl.
May we present to you,
You’re new garden buddies,
Tessa and Bessie….twin tree frogs.

Bennie and Jennie…

your new sister and brother,
newly hatched garden snakes.

Not to worry, they do not bite,
each truly is painfully shy. I promise you,
they only sneak out at moon's light.

It is wisely suggested you celebrate,
a welcome home party for your new babies!

Imagine…...no fly’s or pesky mosquitoes,
will feast on you and your loved ones,
All summer!  Yipeeee..........

I can tell by your wide-eyed face,
That you too…....
were surprised by this interesting,
“Snafu.”

Ahhh…..look…
Tessa has really taken,
A shine to you…..awwwwww.
If you sing ever so sweetly,

she'll echoe your tune,
playfully.

    Superb

A very charming write indeed, with excellent imagery. I'm really glad you shared this one. By the way for the few on AP, who may not know what the acronym 'snafu', stands for, the version I remember is this: "Situation normal, all fouled up".
