Misses Honey Bee
Hello Misses Honey Bee,
Have you come to visit me?
I’ll just stop my morning’s play
to watch you as you go your way.
From flower to flower, you skip along,
your flight so merry as a song,
your busy buzzing, as you go,
makes such a happy sound, you know.
While I pause to watch you here,
Your wings are whispering in my ear,
as you taste each blooming flower,
I feel I could gaze by the hour.
Does their nectar taste as sweet,
As honey, when I sit to eat,
my breakfast toast each waking day,
Like sunshine, in a gooey way?
Well, I must go now, much to do,
the wind make me feel light as you,
so I’ll say to you “good day”
I must be on my way to play.
Tomorrow I’ll see you again,
My busy little buzzing friend.

This poem reminds me so much of my childhood and is so pleasant and innocent. Lord where did all those day go? The rhyme and the station of this write is all that anyone would ever need. Why do I write so many dark things? I guess I have no choice because I have lost that honey bee. I look and look but he is never there. I search for him and watch for his buzzing. My daughter sees him everyday, but I only see strife and bills unpaid. You took me back, you reall6y did, and I am grateful my friend. RC
