I found my dream,
In a girl who did so beam,
As if a ray of light,
From Allah's gleam,
A person whom I wished to defend,
Until the end,
But which,
Only caused both pain,
I gave my heart and my weaknesses,
Hoping to change,
But instead of helping,
She only pushed me away,
I tried hard,
Yet to change my mind,
All she had to do was say my name,
But she decided distance was the best way,
My loved said ok,
But my mind screamed pained,
But For her I gave it my all,
And came up emptier than the vacuum of space,
Author notes
You're all that I hoped I'd find
In every single way
And everything I could give
Is everything you couldn't take

You definitely incorporated the quote into the poem. I mean wow, the last line was especially powerful. Quite a dark picture painted. Thankyou for entering!
