Alone
in a whirl-wind
of blinding dust
accompanied
by only work
society reprogrammed
his flesh and bones
into a machine
distant from all things true
until a memory
of the past
flutters to him
greeting him
with a photograph telegram
of beauty, happiness and
love
in a whirl-wind
of blinding dust
accompanied
by only work
society reprogrammed
his flesh and bones
into a machine
distant from all things true
until a memory
of the past
flutters to him
greeting him
with a photograph telegram
of beauty, happiness and
love
Author notes
This is my idea of the future, if we make it this far. Society has made us into work-a-holics and we tend to forget the true things that we were put on this earth for. We tend to forget about love (i.e. family, friends, even strangers)

I like the image in the 1st stanza, societies work making us feel like machines. Then the fluttering memory bringing us back to ourselves.Thank you for your entry!
