One More Time

Era's come and go
People wither and pass
But our memories will stay forever

Under this brightly shining moon, we spin
Intoxicated by the night air
Dancing, we are lost in another time

It was on that night you found out, my ever present secret
How much you meant to me, I hoped that we could keep it
Our friendship, you see, was really never supposed to be
And so, on that horrible night, it all fell apart

Many nights have passed, and yet I still remember
That hole you made in my heart never truly mended
After all that pain you made me endure
Continusessely searching, I still haven't found the cure
But even thought you broke my heart, that unspeakable crime
I wish I could dance with you, just for one more time

You know what you did that day, and yet you don't seem fazed. Our 10 year old friendship, was it all fake smiles and lies? Sometimes I wonder, why would my first ever friend do this to me?

Author notes

I know many who say to me, 'you are too young too know what real pain feels like' or 'you havent experienced the heartbreak' then, one told me to write about what happened, and what it felt like. So I did. Hopefully, this will show that pain can come to anybody, no matter how old you are.
